Confusion hits Adeiso over Akuffo Addo 88 Hospitals promise

On the late hours of Tuesday 2nd June 2020, a sub-Chief,  Nana Owusu Sakyi took to his facebook account and shared the developments concerning the president's promise to build 88 District Hospitals.  He said;

The concern chiefs of Upper West Akim district of Eastern region lead by the chief of Akyem Asikasu; Berema Adjei Kunadu Yiadom II have raised concern on the location site of their share of Nana Akuffo Addo's "88 hospitals" promised to build in his nation address to facilitate good health care in the new districts and regions across the country.
Berema Adjei Kunadu Yiadom II divulging to the media in a press briefing held at Akyem Asikasu lamented that the chiefs in Upper West Akim district through a thorough consultations and discussions came into an agreement that the district hospital would be built at Akyem Asikasu-Mepom which is between West Akim municipal and Upper West Akim district of Eastern region.
He explained that from an authentic source, it was revealed to him that the location of the yet to be built district hospital in Upper West Akim has been relocated to Obeng-Yaw , a village community within the district which has poor roads and lacks better business activities ongoing after allegedly paying a sum of over GH¢450,000 bribe to some political gurus in the constituency/district.
"I tried to find out the truth in it and it was disclosed to me that some chiefs within the district, the district chief executive of Upper West Akim district; honorable Eugene Sackey, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency chairman; Nana Obobi and his parliamentary candidate; Obeng Adom are the brain behind this agenda". He divulged.
The chief further added that the concern chiefs of Upper West Akim district have documents which includes site plan to prove the fact that the location site of Upper West Akim district hospital was confirmed to be built at Akyem Asikasu-Mepom on about a 20 acres of land provided by himself in consultations with his sub-chiefs
Concluding his press statement, Berema Adjei Kunadu Yiadom II, the chief of Akyem Asikasu stated that together with his concern chiefs of Upper West Akim will not rest until the decision is reversed and have also decided to take action if the people still insist on building the regional hospital at Obeng-Yaw community which would marvel everyone.
The chief of Adeso in the Upper West Akim district who is the paramount chief in the district; Osaberema Asare Oduro on hearing the issue has called for calm among the chiefs since any part of the district where the hospital would be located will serve everyone but would even prefer it to be built at Adeso the district capital.
The NPP chairman for Upper West Akim constituency; Nana Obobi whose name popped up in the concern chiefs press statement for supporting the relocation of the district hospital from Akyem Asikasu-Mepom has said he will come out at the appropriate time to respond to the allegation levied against him and other political leaders in the constituency.
